Carrie Hames

Carrie Hames

Carrie’s journey to Yoga and meditation began over 14 years ago while searching for a way to heal her broken heart.  Asana ignited a fire in Carrie that she never knew existed!  This expansion led to a deepening and the beginning of a spiritual mission to free the wounded healer resonating in her being.  Carrie has studied over 400 hours of asana, pranayama, and meditation under the tutelage of Graham Fowler and Elizabeth Nix at Peachtree Studio (Sandy Springs, GA) with the completion of a 200hr teacher training in 2007 and then again in 2010. After a move to Colorado in 2010, Carrie discovered more of her path to healing in transpersonal work, Shamanism and energetic healing.  Carrie continued to deepen her Yoga practice through workshops by Saul David Raye, Shannon EarthTree, Baron Baptiste and Shiva Rea.  Carrie’s style is unique and inspired by her spiritual journey and Native American roots – a natural weaving together of drums, flowing asana, pranayama, creative movement, and laughter.  Carrie’s approach is intuitive and heart-centered, a spiritual exploration of your body, mind and spirit to assist you in developing a practice that serves you and thus release all that no longer serves you.  Come to your mat with an open heart and unconditional love!  Carrie is a 200hr registered Yoga Instructor, Reiki Master, and aspiring Transpersonal Psychology & Somatic Movement graduate.   Carrie has many passions for healing arts, photography, writing, angel therapy, numerology but none measure to her number one passion in life, her beautiful 18 month old daughter, Stella Genevieve!

“The important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.” ~ Charles Dubois
